Scammers often target exchange users through fake websites, impersonation, and social engineering. Report anything suspicious as soon as possible.

Common scam pattern

  • Fake support accounts asking for your password, 2FA codes, or recovery phrase.
  • Look-alike websites or ads that lead to fake login pages.
  • Messages claiming you “won” a prize or must pay a fee to unlock withdrawals.
  • Requests to install remote access software or share your screen during “support.”

What to do immediately

  1. Do not click links or download attachments from suspicious messages.
  2. Do not share your password, 2FA codes, or wallet recovery phrase.
  3. Verify the sender and check your anti-phishing code on official emails.
  4. Take screenshots and save relevant details (time, sender, content).
  5. Report the incident to NexPlace Customer Support.

What to include in your report

  • Your account email (never share your password).
  • Screenshots of the message or website.
  • The sender’s address/handle and where you received the message.
  • Any relevant transaction hashes (TXIDs) if funds were moved.
